Eik Swee is a Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Melbourne. He has a PhD in economics from the University of Toronto. He is an applied microeconomist working in the areas of public, political, and development economics. Much of his work involves the use of novel datasets to examine the causes and consequences of institutional failure, with a particular focus on developing countries
