Emanuel Ornelas is Professor of Economics at the Sao Paulo School of Economics-FGV. He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Emanuel is also Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research and of CESifo, and Research Affiliate of the Centre for Economic Performance and of the International Growth Centre.
He has presented his work in over 200 professional conferences and academic institutions, and has published his research in leading economics journals, such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Economic Journal and the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics, among others. His research focuses on topics related to international trade and political economy.
