Emilia Simeonova

Associate Professor of Economics, Johns Hopkins Carey Business School at Johns Hopkins University

Emilia Simeonova holds a PhD in Economics from Columbia University and is an Associate Professor of Economics at the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. She is a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau for Economic Research. Between 2011-2012 she was a research fellow at the Center for Health and Well-being at Princeton University. Emilia’s research interests in the economics of health care delivery, patient adherence to therapy and the interaction between physicians and patients, the long-term effects of environmental or socio-economic shocks to children's health and the intergenerational transmission of health and well being. Her research has been funded by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, the Swedish Research Council and the Danish Academy of Sciences.
