Emiliano Luttini

Senior Economist at The World Bank

Emiliano Luttini is a Senior Economist with the World Bank’s Prospects Group. Previously, he led the Big Data Analytics department at the Central Bank of Chile from 2019 until 2023, and the Fiscal Forecasting department at the Ministry of Finance of Chile from 2018 to 2019. Between 2014-2018, he worked as a Senior Economist in the Central Bank of Chile. During 2017, Mr. Luttini was visiting scholar at the Center for Latin American Monetary Studies. His current research interests focus on the determinants of firms’ pricing decisions, the effects of exchange rates on prices and economic activity, labor markets, and risk sharing. He has published in scholarly journals such as the Journal of Development Economics and the Journal of International Economics, among others. He has actively contributed to the publication of policy notes in the Central Bank and Ministry of Finance. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Houston and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Buenos Aires.
