Emla Fitzsimons is a Senior Research Economist at the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policy (EDePo), which is based at the Institute for Fiscal Studies. Emla's research is mainly focused on the accumulation of human capital from early childhood through adolescence. She is currently managing the piloting and evaluation of a large randomised programme for early childhood development in Colombia, and has worked extensively on children's schooling and work choices throughout the developing world.
