ENRICA DE CIAN

Senior Researcher at Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei

Enrica De Cian is Senior Researcher at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei and the Centro Mediterraneo per i Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC) in Italy. She obtained her PhD in Economics and Organisation from the School of Advanced Studies in Venice. Her research focuses on climate change economics and her interests include modelling adaptation and mitigation responses to climate change, drivers and impacts of clean energy R&D and innovation. In 2012 Enrica was awarded a Marie Curie Research Fellowship to develop novel economic methods and models to evaluate the economic consequences of climate change impacts and adaptation. She has collaborated with several research organisations including CEPS (Brussels), the Joint Program on the Policy and the Science of Climate Change at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Cambridge), ZEW (Mannheim), and Boston University where she was Visiting Researcher during the year 2013. She teaches modelling climate change stabilisation policies in the PhD program “Science and Management of Climate Change” at the University of Venice.
