Enrica Detragiache

Assistant Director in the European Department at International Monetary Fund

Enrica Detragiache is an Assistant Director in the European Department of the International Monetary Fund, where she currently heads the Germany desk. Before joining the IMF, she taught Economics at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. Her research has covered banking and financial crises, corporate finance, labour migration, and development economics. Her papers have been published in major academic journals, such as the American Economic Review, the Journal of Finance, the Journal of Monetary Economics, the Journal of Development Economics, and the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Turin, Italy.
