Eric Schaanning

Principal Financial Stability Expert at European Systemic Risk Board

Eric Schaanning is a Principal Financial Stability Expert at the European Systemic Risk Board where his work focusses mainly on stress testing, securitisation, cyber risks and assessing financial stability implications from the low interest rate environment. Prior to that, Eric worked in CCP oversight in Norges Banks’ Financial Market Infrastructure Division and as a postdoctoral researcher at the RiskLab of ETH Zürich, where his research focused on modelling systemic risk. Eric studied mathematics at ETH Zürich and holds a PhD in mathematical finance from Imperial College London.
