Peter Moores Associate Professor in Chinese Business, Saïd Business School at University Of Oxford

Eric Thun is the Peter Moores Associate Professor in Chinese Business at Oxford’s Saïd Business School and a Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford. A political scientist by training, Thun’s research focuses on innovation and industrial upgrading in China, the dynamics of competition in emerging markets, and how digital technologies are transforming global industries. Thun received his BA from Princeton University, his doctorate from Harvard University, and spent a year as a postdoctoral fellow at the MIT Industrial Performance Center. Prior to moving to Oxford, he was an Assistant Professor in the Woodrow Wilson School and Department of Politics at Princeton University. He is the author of Changing Lanes in China: Foreign Direct Investment, Local Governments and Auto Sector Development and his work has appeared in the Journal of International Business Studies, Technovation, World Development, Politics & Society and the Journal of East Asian Studies.
