I am a Professor in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics at the University of Maryland, Faculty Associate at the Maryland Population Research Center (MPRC), Senior Research Fellow at IRVAPP, Research Fellow at the Institute for the Study of Labour (IZA), and Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). I previously worked at Queen Mary University of London, the University of Padova, the Institute for Fiscal Studies and the Centre for the Evaluation of Development Policies in London. My research interests cover a variety of fields of applied economics, ranging from applied work in labor economics to more methodological aspects in policy evaluation and measurement.
