Etienne Farvaque

Professor of Economics at University of Lille

Etienne Farvaque is a Professor of Economics at the Université de Lille (France) and Research Fellow at the CIRANO (Québec, Canada). He has held visiting positions at, e.g., Kochi University of Technology, Kwansei Gakuin University and the EUIJ (Japan), at the Center for Research on European Integration (ZEI) in Bonn (Germany). His research and teaching interests include European economics, political economy, fiscal rules and central banking. He is the author of four books (including one on the European Central Bank and one on the Economics of Democracy). His present research focuses on preference transmission and the role of institutions in economics.
