Eugenio J. Miravete is the Rex G. Baker Jr. Professor of Political Economy at the University of Texas at Austin since 2006, Affiliate (1999-2011) and then Research Fellow of CEPR since 2012. He completed his PhD in economics at Northwestern University and held positions at Insead, NYU, and University of Pennsylvania.
He served as Editor or Associate Editor of the Review of Network Economics, Information Economics and Policy, IJIO, JEEA, and JEBO. The author of several empirical papers on nonlinear pricing and innovation complementarities, his current research focuses on the estimation of equilibrium oligopoly models to evaluate the effects of regulation on retail pricing and on the diffusion of new technologies.
