Fadi Hassan is a Senior Economist at the Bank of Italy where he is head of the International Financial Flows unit, and a Research Associate at the Centre for Economic Performance at LSE. He was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Trinity College Dublin (with tenure) and a Visiting Scholar in economics at Harvard University. He holds a PhD and MSc from the London School of Economics and a BA from the University of Pavia. His main research interests are in the area of international economics, development, and growth. He was awarded the FEEM prize of the European Economic Association.
