Farooq Akram is Head of Research for the Banking and Finance Group at the Research Department of Norges Bank (Central Bank of Norway). Akram received his PhD in economics from the University of Oslo in 2001. He joined the Norges Bank's staff in 1995. Akram's primary research interests are in the fields of monetary policy, financial stability and international finance.
