Filippo Vergara Caffarelli

Filippo Vergara Caffarelli is Senior Economist in the Directorate General for Economics, Statistics and Research of the Bank of Italy. Formerly a research fellow in Applied Economics at the “Sapienza” University of Rome, he holds B.A. in Economics from the same University and a Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute. He joined the Bank of Italy in 2005, where he has worked on international trade, economic analysis of public institutions, industrial organisation, and game theory. He has published in several academic journals, including Dynamics Games and Applications, Review of International Economics, and Rivista di Politica Economica.
