Florian Grosset-Touba is a development and environmental economist with research interests in labour and firms.
He is an Assistant Professor in Economics at CREST, ENSAE, Institut Polytechnique de Paris, and an Invited Researcher at the Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL).
His research focuses on two main areas. The first examines labour and networks in lower-income countries, exploring how individuals' labour supply decisions are influenced by their social network members, primarily using field experiments. The second investigates firms' responses to environmental changes, integrating insights from the natural sciences with applied microeconomic tools for causal identification.
Florian holds a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development from Columbia University. During his Ph.D., he served as a J-PAL Graduate Research Transparency Fellow and a Lead Teaching Fellow at the Columbia Center for Teaching and Learning. He also spent several months conducting research in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.
