Florian Schuett

Associate Professor of Economics at Tilburg University

Florian Schuett is Associate Professor of Economics at Tilburg University, where he has been teaching since 2009. Prior to joining the Tilburg faculty, he was a Max Weber post-doctoral fellow at the European University Institute in Florence. He received his PhD in economics in 2008 and MSc in economics in 2004 from the Toulouse School of Economics. He was a Marie Curie Fellow from 2011 to 2013. Florian's research interests lie in the areas of industrial organization and political economy. His current work focuses on the economics of innovation and intellectual property (with particular attention to incentives in the patent system), standard setting organizations, and behavioral political economy. He has also contributed to the literatures on net neutrality, media markets, and the regulation of markets for experience goods.
