Francesco Billari is Professor of Demography, Director of the DONDENA-Centre for Research on Social Dynamics and Fellow of IGIER at Bocconi University. His main research interests are family and fertility, the transition to adulthood, life course analysis and the relationships between demography and the economy. He is Secretary-General and Treasurer of the European Association for Population Studies and Editor in Chief of Advances in Life Course Research.
