Francesco Passarelli

Professor of Economics at University Of Turin

Francesco Passarelli is a professor of economics at the University of Turin, Italy. He received his BA in Economics and his PhD in Economics from Bocconi University, and his MA in Economics from Université Catholique de Louvain. He is also a contract professor at Bocconi University, a Research Fellow of Baffi-Carefin Center, a Fellow of CESIfo, and a Senior Research Fellow of the Italian Institute for Foreign Policy Studies. He has been spending extended visiting periods at Dartmouth College and Harvard University. His research focuses on Political Economics, with particular emphasis on psychological aspects of individuals’ political behavior. He does also research on Voting Systems within the European Union, on International Sanctions, and on Bank-Bailout Policy. His work has been published in numerous academic journals, such as the Journal of Political Economy, the Journal of Public Economics, and the American Journal of Political Science.
