Seconded National Expert from the Bank of Spain at the DG ECFIN at European Commission

Francisco de Castro is currently Seconded National Expert from the Bank of Spain at the DG ECFIN (Directorate of Fiscal Policy) of the European Commission. Before, he was Economist at the Fiscal Policies Unit at the Bank of Spain, Seconded National Expert also at the European Commission and Associate Professor of Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at the Complutense University (Madrid, Spain). He holds a Ph. D. (with distinction) in Economics from the Complutense University of Madrid. His research interests include applied macroeconomics, macroeconomic aspects of fiscal policies, international economics, economic forecasting and European integration. In these fields he has published in international journals, as well as in journals in Spanish and national books.
