Gerrit Bethuyne

Senior Expert at European Commission

Gerrit Bethuyne works as a senior expert in the policy coordination unit of directorate general for economic and financial affairs of the European Commission. He has previously been involved in economic and budgetary surveillance of EU Member States for the European Commission in various capacities. Before joining the European Commission in 2004 he worked at the faculty of applied economics at the University of Antwerp, where he also obtained a PhD in applied economics and a master in business engineering.
