Geza Feketekuty

Geza Feketekuty writes, lectures and consults on a wide range of trade policy topics, and provides customised training courses in the area of trade policy and international trade negotiations. Mr. Feketekuty in 1996 developed a Masters Degree program in Commercial Diplomacy at the Monterey Institute for International Studies and taught in that program until recently. From 2001 to 2009 he also served as a Senior Adviser to the President and CEO of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. Mr. Feketekuty previously served with the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative in various senior leadership positions related to trade policy development and international trade negotiations, and lead the U.S. effort to develop the General Agreement on Trade in Services. He also served as the U.S. Representative and later as the Chairman of the OECD Trade Committee. Earlier in his career he served as the Senior Economist for International Trade and Finance in the Council of Economic Advisors, and as an Economist with the Office of Management and Budget. He has written numerous articles and books on trade policy issues, including a path-breaking book on trade in services entitled International Trade in Services: An Overview and Blueprint for Negotiations.
