Giacomo Calzolari (PhD Toulouse) is Professor of Economics at The European University Institute in Florence, Bologna University and Research Fellow at CEPR London.
Giacomo has published in top international journals such as American Economic Review, Rand Journal of Economics, International Economic Review, Games and Economic Behavior, Journal of Financial Intermediation, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Economic Theory. He has been conferred the Young Economist Award of the European Economic Association and the 2014-Best paper award by the Association of Competition Economics.
Giacomo is co-editor of the International Journal of Industrial Organization, European Economy – Banks, regulation, and the real sector, and Labour: Review of labour economics and industrial relations. He is member of the steering committee of the European Association of Industrial Economics, the Association of Competition Economics and the Economic Advisory Group on Competition Policy of the European Commission. His current research interests include competition policy, Artificial Intelligence, economics of regulation, industrial organization, banking regulation and supervision and the economics of incentives.
