Giacomo Marangoni

Giacomo Marangoni joined FEEM in May 2011 as a Junior Researcher, after graduating in Automation Engineering at the University of Padua (Italy). During his academic experience he gained interest and knowledge in several mathematical tools for modelling dynamical systems, estimating their states from noisy information, and controlling their behaviours with optimal strategies either in deterministic or stochastic contexts. These studies were enriched by the previously taken degree in Information Engineering, and the 7 months exchange period done in 2009 at the University of Davis, California (USA). His strong interest in modelling and optimisation techniques, as well as his personal affinity with the research topics of sustainable development, led him to join the FEEM’s Sustainable Development research programme. In particular, he is currently working on the modelling tools used for studying the relationship between socio-economic systems and climate policies applied on them.
