Gianni La Cava

Gianni La Cava is a Senior Research Manager in the Economic Research Department of the Reserve Bank of Australia in Sydney. He runs a research team – Micro Analysis and Data (MAD) – that examines macroeconomic issues using microeconomic data. This column is based on a paper that was written while on secondment at the Bank for International Settlements. He holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics with his dissertation on the US housing market. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts/Commerce from the University of Sydney. His research largely focuses on inequality, the housing market, and the links between the financial sector and the real economy.
