Gilbert Cette is Deputy Director General, Economics and International at the Banque de France and Associate Professor at the University of Aix-Marseille. He studied and got is Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Paris 1.
Gilbert Cette has done empirical investigations, focusing on growth, productivity, innovations, labor economics and structural reforms. He has published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of the European Economic Association, the Review of Economics and Statistics, the European Economic Review, the Review of Income and Wealth, Economics letters, among others. He has also published several books, the last ones being on labour market structural reforms.
