Giovanni Caggiano

Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics and Management at University Of Padua

Prior to joining the University of Padova, Giovanni has held positions at the University of Glasgow and the University of Exeter, and has taught at the Queen Mary University of London.Giovanni earned a PhD in Economics and Econometrics from the University of York (2007). His research agenda focuses on the role of nonlinearities for the transmission of structural shocks, the importance of common factors across countries for the transmission of shocks and for forecasting, and the role of heterogeneity and aggregation for business cycle fluctuations.He has published his research in a number of international journals, including the Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Econometrics, Economic Journal, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Forecasting, Journal of Economic History, Journal of Banking and Finance, Empirical Economics, and Economics Letters.
