Giovanni Peri is Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis and Director of the Global Migration Center at UC Davis. He is also a Research Associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He is Editor of the Journal of the European Economic Association and in the editorial Board of several Academic Journals in Economics. His research has focused on the impact of international migrations on labour markets and productivity of the receiving countries and on the determinants of international migrations. He has published in several academic journals including American Economic Review, the Review of Economic Studies and The Review of Economics and Statistics. He has received several grants and his research is often featured in popular newspapers and Blogs.
