Gregory Thwaites

Gregory Thwaites is an Associate Professor in Economics at the University of Nottingham, a Research Director at the Resolution Foundation and the Business Manager of the Review of Economic Studies. He spent a total of 12 years at the Bank of England between 2001-18, where his last job was as Head of International Research and where he co-founded the Bank of England - KCL - Nottingham - Stanford Decision Maker Panel. He is a visiting fellow at the LSE Centre for Macroeconomics. He has also worked as an economist for the United Nations Mission in Kosovo and the Independent Commission on Banking (the ‘Vickers Commission’), inter alia. He received his PhD from LSE under the supervision of Silvana Tenreyro in 2015.
