Hanhui Guan is a researcher in economic history at Peking University. His research interests include (1) long-run economic growth and development (2) the evolution of fiscal and monetary regime (3) globalization in Chinese History. He is currently director of Institute for Quantitative History in School of Economics, Peking University.
