Hanna Kristín Skaftadóttir is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of Business Intelligence at Bifröst University, Iceland, and a lecturer in auditing and accounting at the University of Iceland. Her research interests lie at the intersection of fintech, artificial intelligence, and process automation, focusing on transparency, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Business Administration, specializing in implementing emerging technologies and their societal and business impacts. Hanna Kristín has participated in multiple international collaborations, including serving as a Core Group Member for COST Action FinAI, focusing on AI and fintech in financial systems, and as the Nordic academia representative for Nordic Smart Government & Business. She has an academic track record in artificial intelligence and business intelligence, with publications in leading journals such as Issues in Accounting Education and Financial Innovation, and contributions to international conferences on AI, finance, and innovation. In her career, Hanna Kristín has been an active member of several scientific committees, including the COST FinAI conference on AI in Finance and Society. She regularly delivers invited talks at events worldwide, covering topics like robotic process automation, AI ecosystems, and diversity in fintech.
