Hans Dewachter is Senior Advisor in the Prudential Policy and Financial Stability Department at the National Bank of Belgium (NBB). As Senior Advisor he manages and co-ordinates the macroprudential policy and analysis at the NBB. Before joining the NBB in 2011, he was full professor of economics at the University of Leuven, where he currently still teaches on a part-time basis. He published extensively in high-level academic journals on various macrofinancial topics.
