Harro van Asselt is Professor of Climate Law and Policy with the University of Eastern Finland (UEF) Law School. He has over 15 years of research experience, and is an expert on interactions between international climate change governance and other fields of international governance. He also worked at the Stockholm Environment Institute, the Environmental Change Institute of the University of Oxford, and the Institute for Environmental Studies at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is the author of The Fragmentation of Global Climate Governance, co-editor of Governing Climate Change and The Politics of Fossil Fuel Subsidies and Their Reform, and he has more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed academic journals and books. He is Editor of the Review of European, Comparative and International Environmental Law (RECIEL), Associate Editor of the Carbon & Climate Law Review (CCLR), and sits on the Editorial Board of Global Environmental Politics and International Environmental Agreements: Politics, Law and Economics. He holds a PhD from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
