Hélène Poirson

Senior Economist in the European Department at International Monetary Fund

Hélène Poirson, CFA, has been working for the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. for the past 12 years, most recently as Senior Economist in the European Department. In her current assignment, she is a member of the teams which conduct surveillance of Germany and France. She has published a range of policy and research papers, especially in the areas of economic growth, exchange rate and monetary policy issues, and capital markets issues. Ms. Poirson holds a Ph.D. in Economics from DELTA (EHESS, Paris) and a MSc from Ecole Polytechnique (Paris).
