Isamu Yamamoto

Isamu Yamamoto is a professor at the Faculty of Business and Commerce, Keio University and a faculty fellow at the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry (RIETI). Previously, he was a director and senior economist (2005-2007) and deputy director and economist (2003-2005) at the Institute for Monetary and Economic Studies, Bank of Japan. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Brown University.His research interests focus on applied microeconomics and labor economics. He has published numerous papers in academic journals on these subjects including The B.E. Journal of Economic Analysis & Policy, Journal of Labor Research, Journal of the Japanese and International Economies, and Asian Economic Policy Review. He was the project leader of Labor Market Analysis Using Matched Employer-Employee Panel Data project at RIETI.
