Israel Zang

Professor at The Leon Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration at Tel Aviv University

Professor Israel Zang graduated from the Technion in 1974. He was faculty member for over 30 years at the Recanati School of Management, Tel Aviv University. During this period he served as the Dean of the School, and later on as Vice Provost of the University. He later served as President of the Academic College of Tel Aviv Yaffo. Professor Zang had long and short term teaching and research affiliations with various academic institutions including, the Center for Operation Research and Econometrics (CORE), Center for Economic Research (CentER), The University of British Columbia, Kellogg School of Management, Yale University, and the Free University of Brussels. Professor Zang served as Board member of some major Israeli companies and corporations. He was a member of the Audit Committee of the Bank of Israel. He is founding co-Chairman and board member of the IMPACT! Scholarships Project awarding 2500 study scholarships annually (total of $10,000,000) to socioeconomically needy students. He is a past President of the Operations Research Society of Israel. His research areas are focused on generalized convexity, mathematical programming and managerial economics. He published over 40 articles and one book, cited around 3900 times (Google Scholar).
