Jaejoon Woo

Jaejoon Woo is Chief Korea Economist at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Hong Kong), and a professor of economics (with tenure) at Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, Chicago. Previously, he held a Senior Economist position at the IMF, Washington DC, and Economist positions at the OECD, Paris. The area of his research interest includes growth and productivity, fiscal policy, political economy, and inequality. His research work has been published in leading economics journals, such as Review of Economics and Statistics, Journal of Public Economics, European Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Economica, and IMF Economic Review, and Economic Inquiry, as well as in the IMF and OECD working paper series. He earned his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
