Javier Andres Santiago is currently a PhD student in Economics at the University of Colorado-Boulder. Javier’s main research interests are in the areas of international trade, economic growth and development, and political economy. His work focuses on the welfare gains from trade, and the role of institutions for long-run economic growth and development. Javier holds a BA in Economics and an MA in International Economics, both from the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM), and an MA in Economics and Finance from the Center for Monetary and Financial Studies (CEMFI, Madrid).
