Jenny Lin

Jenny X. Lin is currently a Data Scientist at Yelp, Inc. Previously, she was an Assistant Professor of Economics at Oregon State University. She received a Ph.D in Economics from the University of Michigan in 2014, specializing in international trade theory. During that time, she worked on multiple projects with the International Monetary Fund, as both an independent researcher and intern, investigating credit booms and financial inclusion. Her research interests are in international trade composition, time series modeling of exchange rate pass-through and machine learning predictive models of marketplace interactions.
