Head of Fixed Income Research, Americas and Global Head of FX Strategy at Nomura

Jens Nordvig, Managing Director, is Head of Fixed Income Research, Americas and Global Head of FX Strategy at Nomura, the global investment bank. He is the author of a recent book about the Euro-crisis and the future of the Euro called The Fall of the Euro: Reinventing the Eurozone and the Future of Global Investing, published by McGraw-Hill in October 2013. Jens joined Nomura in October 2009, from investment management firm, Bridgewater Associates, where he worked as a Senior Currency Strategist. Prior to that, Jens worked for eight years at Goldman Sachs London and New York in various senior research positions, most recently as a Managing Director and Co-Head of Global Currency Strategy. Jens is ranked #1 in Currency/Foreign Exchange in Institutional Investor’s All America Fixed Income 2013 Survey, an accolade he has earned for the third year running. He is also lead author of Rethinking the European monetary union, one of the finalist essays for the 2012 Wolfson Economics Prize. He has taught several courses in macroeconomics and econometrics, and written a book on mathematics and economics in 2001. Jens received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Aarhus in Denmark, where he also did post-graduate research on new financial crises models.
