Jens van t Klooster

Jens van 't Klooster is an Assistant Professor of Political Economy at the University of Amsterdam. He is a policy fellow at Dezernat Zukunft: Institute for Macrofinance, a visiting fellow at the LSE Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment, and a member of the European Parliament's monetary policy expert panel. His research focuses on the international political economy of financial markets, publishing regularly on the governance of climate and environmental risks, the offshore dollar system and the politics of central banking. His most recent publication is 'Rethinking Currency Internationalisation. Offshore Money Creation and the EU's Monetary Governance' in Journal of European Public Policy (with Steffen Murau).
