Jing Zhang is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Michigan. She received her PhD from the University of Minnesota in 2005. Her research focuses on impacts of international financial frictions on international capital flows, international risk sharing and sovereign defaults, impacts of trade on structural change, and the evolution of comparative advantage. Other research interests include adverse selection in labor markets, household portfolio rebalancing in the general equilibrium, Korean firm performance during the 1997 financial crisis, and firm financing and dynamics across countries with different degrees of financial development.
