Joao Nogueira Martins

DG Ecfin at European Commission

Joao Nogueira Martins, educated at the Universities of Coimbra (Portugal) and Louvain-la-Neuve (Belgium), joined the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs (ECFIN) of the European Commission, as an Economist, in 1994. He worked at the ECB in 2000 to 2002. He was Adviser to the Director General of ECFIN until 2009, and Head of Unit since then.
