Joel Shapiro is Professor of Financial Economics at the Said Business School, University of Oxford. He was previously a tenured Associate Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra and has been a Visiting Researcher at NYU Stern, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Joel currently does research on the regulation and governance of financial institutions and has published in academic journals such as the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, and the Review of Financial Studies.
