Joerg Heining studied economics at the University of Regensburg, Germany and completed his PHD in 2007. Between 2007 and 2008 he was in charge of the department "Taxes and Finances" at the Statistical Office of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. He started a position as a senior researcher at the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), Germany in 2009 and is currently working for the Regional Research Network (RFN) group at IAB.
