Joerg Oechssler

Professor of Economics at Heidelberg University

Joerg Oechssler is Professor of Economics at the University of Heidelberg. After receiving his Ph.D. from Columbia University N.Y., he has held appointments on the faculty of Humboldt University Berlin and the University of Bonn. He has been a Visiting Scholar at the University of Melbourne, UC Santa Barbara, at the WZB Berlin, and at Stockholm University. His research focuses on imitation, learning, and (evolutionary) games theory with theoretical and experimental approaches. His research has been supported by the German Research Foundation in various grants and appeared in the American Economic Review, the Journal of Economic Theory, the International Economic Review, the Economic Journal, and other leading peer reviewed journals. He has served as Editor of the European Economic Review and as Co-Editor for the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization.
