John Gathergood is Professor of Economics at the University of Nottingham. His principal research interests lie in household and consumer finances, mortgage markets and consumption. He is a co-founder of the Network for Integrated Behavioral Science. He has published in journals including the American Economic Review, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, Journal of the European Economic Association, Economic Journal and Journal of Banking and Finance. He also acts as an Adviser to the UK Treasury, Department for Work and Pension and Financial Conduct Authority.
