Jonas Loebbing works as an Assistant Professor at the University of Munich (LMU), having earned his PhD in economics from the University of Cologne in 2020. He is a macroeconomist primarily interested in inequality and redistribution. His recent work focuses on the impact of new technologies on the income distribution and its implications for the design of redistribution policy. For his research, he was awarded the Peggy and Richard Musgrave Prize by the International Institute of Public Finance in 2019 and the Reinhard Selten Award by the German Economic Association in 2020.
