Jonathan Levin

Professor, Department of Economics at Stanford University

Jonathan Levin is Professor and Chair of the Department of Economics at Stanford University, and Professor by courtesy in Stanford’s Graduate School of Business. His research is in the field of industrial organisation, particularly the economics of contracting, organisations, and market design. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and has been a Sloan Research Fellow and an NSF Career Award recipient. In 2011, he received the John Bates Clark Medal as the economist under the age of forty who has made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from M.I.T., an MPhil in Economics from Oxford University, and BA and BS degrees from Stanford.
