Jorge Selaive

Jorge Selaive is Chief Economist of BBVA Chile and Professor at the School of Business in the University of Chile. Prior positions include Senior Economist at the Central Bank of Chile (2003-2009) and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors (2003). He was Editor of the magazine Economía Chilena and Board Member of BCI Stock Broker. He is currently member of the potential GDP Advisory Committee and Adviser at the Capital Markets Advisory Council, both of the Government of Chile. His research focuses on FX, monetary policy and international finance. He graduated in business studies from the University of Chile in 1994, Master in Finance in 1995 and received his Ph.D. in Economics from the New York University in 2003.
